When events were being canceled en masse in 2020, there was a rush to produce "virtual" versions. These were largely ineffective - almost all sense of what was important was lost with presentations being flat and dull. Two years later these alternatives appear to be here to stay for some events and, although the technology has improved, the complete lack of humanity in these productions remains.

 

We believe there is a fundamental need to give people an opportunity to experience events in real spaces in as real a way as possible, even if they can’t be there in person.
